This Is It

I can't wait!

Food for thought: Musical Fruit Soup

Tonight for din din I made 7 bean vegetarian chili w/ honey jalapeno cornbread. Hold the meat and blow out your seat cuz I'm screamin flavor for days! You name a bean...it's prolly in there partying with the orange peppers, onion, jalapenos, and brown sugar! I wish pictures could do the flavor justice.

Dope Weekend!

In bed by 9:30 Friday night after smashing Chili's baby back ribs, unloading 5 garbage bags of clothing (lightening my load before my next move), lunch at Fat Cat in Quincy, Pregame birthday drinks with my girls Misty and Lindsey, manscaping Canadian coworker doing keg stands in wrestling unitard then turning to me asking "do you think it is inappropriate for me to be wearing this outfit in front of people from work?", Napoleon Dynamite homecoming themed birthday party around 3 am, waking up in a puddle of amazing footwear not belonging to me, watching powder puff (predominately lesbian awesomeness) football on a magic rainy day, cheering for the Tight Ends specifically three players (Sex Stick, Pain Train, and my girl Deb), sideline coaching psychology jargon with a Harvard genetic engineer, burnt Philly from a rooftop in Jamaica Plain, soft sprinkles drift to my face on a fabulous rainy Sunday, housing some banana mango strawberry walnut pancakes with whip creme topping at my new favorite breakfast spot in Boston, chillin with my new extended family Jeff and Sis in their baller pad with one of the illist views in Boston, about to smash a Brookly style BBQ chicken, pinapple, spinich pizza!  Wishing I had that damn camera charger...wish I didnt leave it in NY...(Yo Josh, Courtney, Kyle, Brook, Lucy, Nora I hope to see you all soon) ordered it...should be here early this week!!!!!

This coming week should prove memorable!

Daily Moistocity: "Biking in My First SB's"

I've been trying to bike aroundBraintree and around Boston on my new bike (a sick Specialized hybrid...pics to come). On a recent voyage I decided to knock the dust off this pair of Nike SB's I scored a minute ago. Being that my closet is overflowing with Reebok product I rarely get to rock alot of other freshness. While I really dig these kicks...I'm really feelin this dopeboy windbreaker! The adjustable pants are part of an Orchard Street x Reebok collaboration that I was working on a lil while ago. The hat is merely camouflage...no part of me will ever drink the Beantown Koolaid...notice the bent bill...my way of stickin it to the fans...hahahah. Also can you say ORANGE COLOR POP...boxers included!

Wrangler Sketchbook

During a recent chill session @ Jeff and Sicely's I started sketching on these Wrangler jeans I picked up from Walmart this time last year . Finally a new project! I hope to continue sketching on these jeans until I've created a collage of illustrations spanning every inch of the denim.

Lasers!!!!!!

Man do I miss the 80's!!!! Back in the day lasers seemed to make every situation better! Now I'm no Jedi, but I have a feeling that a combination of sweet lasers attached to zebras guided by el Presidente Obama may actually be the answer to our struggling economy! Hip Hip HORRAY!!!!!

Another Reason To Love Shel Silverstein': UNCLE SHELBY, not exactly a kids' book

Uncle Shelby's ABZ Book by Shel Silverstein. Yes, that Shel Silverstein, author of many books of justly beloved poetry for children. But Uncle Shelby isn't quite for kids (indeed, recent editions bear the subtitle "A Primer for Adults Only"). No, not really for kids at all.

Because Uncle Shelby is here to teach the kids the alphabet (mostly -- his alphabet goes abzdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyc) with a series of nasty, laugh-out-loud funny exercises and misinformative advice that nearly cost me a keyboard, as I happened to be drinking water while reading it. Some examples:

R is for Red: The fire is red, the fire engine is red, the fireman's hat is red... Too bad the fireman only goes to places WHERE THERE IS A FIRE.

T is for TV: See the nice TV. The TV is warm... The TV loves you. Do you know that there are little elves who love inside the TV? ...If you take Daddy's hammer and break open the TV you will see the funny little elves. What will you name them?

And then there's the penultimate page: WARNING! It is not nice top burn books. It is against the law. If your Mommy or Daddy tries to burn this book, call the POLICE on them.

Unorthodox China Cabinet

The fabulously random selection of figurines and memorabilia occupying my parents' china cabinet are stimulating to say the least. The three teared shelves read like heaven, pergetory, and hell. Oddly enough the top shelf (heaven) consists of old negro figurines and antiques, the middle shelf (pergatory) consists of creepy ceramic basset hounds and some sketchy creatures, an old baseball, then lastly on the bottom shelf(hell) consists of the bland traditional china cabinet crap.
Random awesomeness!!!!!!

Daily Moistocity: "Blueberry Kush in Massachusetts"

Storm Troopers...my new drug!

Daily Moistocity: "The Purple Gambler"

As materialistic as it may sound, this Kenny Rogers tee is definitely one of my most prized possessions, right up there with my Nike Diamond Turfs (aka my Deion Sanders stilettos) and my Jordan 8's (Aqua's).

Sketches from the T

One thing I love about living in Boston is the T. Commuting from Braintree into the city is always an adventure. These are a few of my more recent sketches of random folks riding the train.
