Moist Darkside: Shogun Vader by Alexander Lam

Alexander Lam conceived Shogun Vader back in 2007 after reading about the samurai influence on Ralph McQuarrie's conceptual designs for Star Wars. He chose the name because Shogun means "general." In the few years since he began working on Shogun Vader, Lam has gone through three costume designs and is currently working on a fourth.
Lam's armor is made primarily of dyed black cardboard topped by a shiny black posterboard that he says you can find at stores like Michael's. He uses double-sided tape to fuse the materials. The gold trim is made of a similar posterboard, although it is mirror-reflective. He uses wide shoelaces to tie together the pieces in a fashion similar to the samurai armor he found during the course of his research. (via boingboing.com)

It's Hip To Be Square: More Than Meets The Eye!!!

Even though the message attached to this image is slightly offensive, I found it crazy ironic that this lil homey in the pic is rockin some sick frames, stonewashed jeans, an ill Bugle Boy tee which I could swear I used to personally own back in the day.

Theopolis London...not only is his name BUTTER, his style is impeccable...skinny jeans, vintage adjustable Orlando Magics cap, dorkesque shades, and a sleeveless denim jacket! PS...Humbdrum Town is one of the illest tracks I've heard this year!

Three words...GAME BOY NECKLACE!!!, not to mention dude's obvious red midtop fade and dope frames.

Last but not least....homemade Mario Bros. sweater vest...it truly is hip to be square!

Revenge of the Nerds: Russian Accordion Genius

I found this dude very inspirational...not sure if it is his spastic mannerisms, the amazing middle school backdrop...or the epic sounds coming from this seemingly dull instrument! Either way I dare somebody to tell me that this dude isn't destined for greatness...

swag update: pick up the accordion!
